This committee’s key role is to educate young minds and inspire them through leadership.  This will be accomplished by inspiring children’s natural interest in gardening and encourage them to be better stewards of the earth through classroom education and hands on learning opportunities.

Working closely with Amanda Segura, Riverbanks Botanical Gardens, volunteers follow a course description developed by her and help educate the students in sound gardening practices both in the classroom and the outdoor lab.  This curriculum was developed and is being offered to Home School Students.  There are 2 levels and many complete level 1 and move onto level 2.
